Blood of the Conquerers
Never entirely welcome in the land of the dwarves, Loki Duskryn spent his youth wandering and reading when he can, often sneaking into libraries he wasn’t allowed into. He was completely fascinated by the stories of the High Kingdom. As he grew he started to notice the all chaos in the world. Especially after a rival Lord to the village lord he, his parents, and sister were resting burned the village killing his mother and father, not knowing what became of his sister.
Loki spent several years trying to find his sister Vieronia, honing his skills in the pursuit. He learned stealth, tracking, breaking locks all from trying to keep the trail from going cold. But grow cold it eventually did, and only now does Loki realize that many, many people go missing or die in these chaotic times. You’re nominally rebuilding the High Kingdom to prevent families being torn apart like yours, but deep down it might be because you still haven’t given up the search and you want to mobilize armies to search for her. Selfish? Yes, but if that’s what it takes so be it.
